The staff worked quickly, cleanly and nicely. The location is super easy to reach! The good transport connections make a meal trip quickly possible. The things I ordered on the menu are nicely prepared and are always brought warm. My husband and I think the prices are absolutely fair.
We recommend. We ate and drank delicious. We ordered Rosato Mio and Rosato Lemon as drinks. The meal was tagliatelle with prawns in a light cream sauce with mushrooms and garlic. The tagliatelle were as they should be, "al dente" and the cream sauce with the prawns was a poem. To top it off, we ordered the homemade cheesecake. Delicious! We would definitely like to come back.
Great! The waitresses are generally friendly and always in a good mood. The food was always great. It is always asked whether everything is good and whether there is anything else you want. The ambience is also great. I can only recommend it.
For lunch at Don Carlos. Inexpensive and absolutely sufficient. Very good quality beef liver.
After a long time, was there again with friends to eat. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Keep it up. 👍
The food was very tasty. The location was great and nice and quiet. Unfortunately, our plates had several flaws.
We were looking forward to a delicious Spanish evening, but were disappointed by the vegetable paella, which was apparently made with cream and only had 3 pieces of zucchini, 3 tomatoes cut in half and a few peas. We had to pay € 14.40 per person ... The only positive thing that evening was the really nice staff. She apologized for the food and tried to make up for it with a coffee for everyone!
I can't say more than that I felt comfortable. The staff was courteous, friendly, sometimes not as attentive to empty glasses, but immediately there when called. The food, especially the tapas, is good.
Great and inexpensive food. Very friendly staff. We will be back. Stay healthy
We went there for dinner with the whole family yesterday. Unfortunately there were a few things that we didn't like at all. For one thing, no one was asked for contact details even though we were there with several households. On the other hand, the waitresses wore visors that didn't cover their noses. You can leave out the mask directly. The food was on the whole okay. What was not possible were the inedible noodles which the cook probably forgot to season. That these were fully charged despite complaints was really outrageous. In addition, it is really unpleasant when you eat out as a group and the dishes are served with a large time difference. This would be understandable for main courses but not for bread and dessert. We'll go somewhere else next time. That is a shame because otherwise we always enjoyed staying at Don Carlos
We have reserved a table for breakfast in advance. Where we got there and asked for our table. We were told very unfriendly that we can sit down outside ??? I beg your pardon ? Reservation is going great with you! so unfriendly. never again!!!
The breakfast buffet is just great, lots of choice and tasty products! Coffee, tea or cocoa as a flat rate included in the price, what more could you want. I also find the restaurant very appealing and the service was friendly!
Very good service, here the guest is king! 👍Good quality both in the food and in the drinks. The food was fresh and tasty and presented in an appetizing manner. The cocktails are also beautifully decorated and taste the way they should be, also here much better than in other restaurants in the Centro that have sugar water. 100% recommendation, with great pleasure again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Food, whether fish or meat, is excellent and of the best quality. We had rump steak, fillet steak and the fish soup - a real insider tip outstanding - the meat everything on point. In addition, both the red wine and the Pinot Gris are a treat for the palate. The service is always nimble, always with a watchful eye and immediately at our side. When dessert came we were completely flashed. I can only say it was an experience at its best. The Carlos Centro - Oberhausen is and will remain my restaurant for me when I come back. Great service, great food, great drinks - service is still very important here - five stars for me every day. Many thanks to the whole team and see you soon, I look forward to seeing you again Kind regards to the whole team Joerg B.
We had breakfast there, not a buffet, but ordered. (Egg Egg Breakfast) It was absolutely the most disgusting breakfast I've ever had. The rolls were from the day before, baked again and so hard that you could have thrown the passers-by with them. The scrambled eggs did not consist of real eggs, of course, but, as in almost all restaurants now, from powdered eggs. Since you could choose between fried and scrambled eggs, I briefly hoped that it would actually be eggs. Obviously the egg was also taken from the buffet, or it had been standing around for a while because it was already dry and hard in some places. The bacon ... two mini-strips about the size of a thumb that you couldn't even eat whole because they were peppered with pieces of cartilage (I've never seen bacon before). To be honest, I felt the need to vomit for a moment. All around the food was not even minimally worth what you asked for it. I have informed the waitress. It's nice that she has expressed her sympathy, but no one comes up with the idea of perhaps offering a reduced price or other compensation for the dirty breakfast. The only positive things were the friendly waitress and the edible cappuchino. Otherwise I would not recommend anyone to have breakfast there.
We were there for breakfast the days and we loved it! There was everything your heart desires, from eggs to salmon, cakes and sausages. We are definitely not there for the last time. Only the cake at the buffet seems to be the cake of the previous day. It tasted a bit dry and didn't look that tasty anymore. Everything else was to our absolute satisfaction.
Don Carlos was very good at the beginning. After a few years, however, the kitchen waned ... unfortunately. Clearly a lot of walk-in customers, few regular customers. In the meantime one tries a little more. On the weekend, the restaurant is converted into a dance hall at a later hour.
The open place is great and ths livs music
Very nice service, delicious cakes, teas, coffees and refreshments. The underside of the tent roof in the outside area should definitely be cleaned and the rear seating area. In daylight it is extremely noticeable.
Good
Amazing
Buffet...so so, very nice service
Not really impressed with the food here. The tapas were ok at best and the main I had (chicken with curry) was overcooked and try. I would look for another alternative in Centro
Looking at the menu prices were above average. You also had to pay extra for side dishes f.e. Fries +€3.5 and baked potatoes +€4 which ads up quickly. Ordered linguine with salmon and cherry tomatoes. When dinner arrived only 5 minutes later I was allready suspicious. The food was bland, tasteless and reheated. I could only find half a cherry tomato on my plate. The food was also swimming in cream and oil and I had to remove several fishbones. When the waiter asked me if the food was OK, I politely said it wasn't. It was the first time in my life I said the food wasn't OK in a restaurant. I also explained why. The waiter just shrugged and walked away. No apology, no explanation, nothing. I even saw him laughing about it with the other waiters. This place is clearly designed to simply feed people and then show them the door as quickly as possible to be able to serve new people. The only positive moment about this night was when I was able to reach the toilet in time so I could address the indigestion following this overprised trash they call food.
The waitress was nice, although there was a lot to do. The food came very quickly. It was okay, but nothing special. The rooms were nicely decorated for Christmas. Unfortunately, due to the huge and high space, the ambience is rather that of a station concourse and accordingly loud.
Nice place in Oberhausen to visit with family or friends.
Too
Good
Nice even cosy interior even for such a big restaurant. Menu is mix of Italian and Spanish kitchen. Food is okay. Service is attentive.
Very good good
Good food, good coffee, but unfortunately the service is in trouble. Totally disorganized and as English language was a challenge for them, the communication was a challenge also. Overall it was acceptable.
The food was really great! Prices good and portions really generous! We are completely satisfied and also a few proof photos 😉
